Laraware Welfare Foundation is committed to transparency in how it handles donations. This Refund Policy sets out the circumstances under which a donation refund may be considered. Please read it carefully before making a donation.
General Principle
All donations to Laraware Welfare Foundation are voluntary contributions to charitable activities. As a general rule, donations are non-refundable once processed. This is because donations are typically disbursed for ongoing charitable programmes immediately or within a short period of receipt.
When a Refund May Be Considered
We will consider a refund request in the following situations:
- Duplicate transaction: You were charged more than once for a single intended donation due to a technical error.
- Unauthorised transaction: A donation was made using your payment method without your knowledge or consent.
- Wrong amount: A technical error caused a significantly different amount to be charged than what you authorised.
- Technical failure: Your payment was deducted but no confirmation was received and the donation was not recorded on our end.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us within 7 days of the transaction date:
- Email: accounts@larawarefoundation.com
- Subject line: "Refund Request โ [Transaction Date] โ [Amount]"
- Include: Your full name, registered email, transaction ID or UTR number, amount, and reason for the refund request.
We will acknowledge your request within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 15 working days.
Refund Process
If a refund is approved:
- The refund will be credited to the original payment method (bank account, UPI, or card) used for the donation.
- Refunds typically take 7โ10 business days to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Any 80G tax receipt issued against the donation will be cancelled upon refund. You will be responsible for adjusting your tax filing accordingly.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be considered for:
- Change of mind after the donation is processed
- Requests made more than 7 days after the transaction date
- Donations made as part of fundraising campaigns that have already been disbursed
- Recurring donations where adequate cancellation notice was not provided in advance
Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring donation (monthly / quarterly), you may cancel future instalments at any time by emailing accounts@larawarefoundation.com at least 5 working days before the next scheduled debit. Cancellation will not entitle you to a refund of previously processed instalments.
