Introduction
Laraware Welfare Foundation ("LWF") is itself a charitable Section 8 Company whose core mandate is social welfare. This CSR Policy governs how LWF engages with corporate partners who wish to channel their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds through or in partnership with LWF, in accordance with Section 135 and Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 and the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014.
Eligible CSR Activities
LWF accepts and implements CSR funds for activities that fall within Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013, including but not limited to:
- Eradicating hunger, poverty, and malnutrition
- Promoting healthcare including preventive health care and sanitation
- Promoting education, including special education and livelihood enhancement
- Ensuring environmental sustainability and ecological balance
- Protection of national heritage, art, and culture
- Measures for the benefit of armed forces veterans, war widows, and their dependants
- Promotion of sports at the grassroots level
- Rural development projects
- Slum area development
- Disaster management, including relief and rehabilitation
How Corporate Partners Can Engage
Companies wishing to partner with LWF for CSR implementation may:
- Fund specific ongoing programmes (medical camps, food distribution, education, clean water, women empowerment)
- Commission a dedicated project aligned with their CSR objectives and our expertise
- Engage in employee volunteering tied to CSR reporting
LWF will provide all documentation required for the corporate partner's CSR compliance, including utilisation certificates, impact reports, and auditor-certified statements.
Due Diligence
LWF will conduct and provide all necessary due diligence documentation to corporate partners, including:
- Certificate of Incorporation (CIN: U88900UP2024NPL203248)
- 80G and 12A registration certificates
- NITI Aayog Darpan registration (UP/2024/0416964)
- Annual reports and audited financial statements
- CSR-1 registration with MCA (where applicable)
Financial Management of CSR Funds
- CSR funds will be maintained in a separate designated bank account.
- All expenditure from CSR funds will be tracked and reported separately.
- Unspent CSR funds (where committed) will be handled in accordance with Section 135(5)/(6) of the Companies Act, 2013.
- LWF will provide a Utilisation Certificate from a Chartered Accountant upon project completion.
Reporting and Transparency
LWF will provide corporate CSR partners with:
- Quarterly progress reports with photos and beneficiary data
- Annual impact report
- Audited fund utilisation statement
- Access to field visits for monitoring and evaluation
